Citrus County, Fl. - June, 2008 - The Karst Conservancy partners with the Division of Forestry to gate Jackpot Cave, a biologically significant site threatened by vandalism. The Upper Floridan Aquifer is encountered at Jackpot's lowest levels, a rarity on the Brooksville Ridge. There have been fleeting glimpses of free-swimming troglobitic unknowns. So far they have eluded capture.
